CELIA CHAVEZ is a master harmonizer, dynamic teacher and accomplished songwriter. Having seasoned her skills and her craft while singing with major artists including P!nk, Melody Gardot, Julia Fordham, Seal and Brandon Flowers (the Killers), Celia currently tours internationally with Enrique Iglesias as his romantic duet partner. As an artist, Celia has released five recordings to date as a performing songwriter and bandleader and is the female half of singer/songwriter duo Petty/Chavez, and also half of the quirky Americana duo, the Sisters of Perpetual Heartache (SOPH).

Her activity in her hometown Seattle’s music scene led to an invitation to join the Seattle Composers Alliance (SCA). This sparked her desire to be of service to her fellow musicians, so as an SCA board member, she helped galvanize the professional composer community into a resource for networking, career guidance, and focused, relevant workshops. During that time, Celia broke into the studio session world, co-wrote songs for film, and arranged harmony vocals on fast-paced recording sessions for radio IDs and commercials. Her relocations to New York City and Los Angeles grew her career as a touring backup singer and a studio session vocalist. Celia is now thrilled to share her joy, passion and experience in the music industry with the singing community.
